The Beauty of Golden Retrievers

After selling my Yorkie finished punch needle piece so quickly last week, I decided to take a hint and make another one! This time I created a Golden Retriever. It was inspired by our very own Golden, Bryce. It is now for sale in my Etsy Shop!

I also stuck with turning the finished piece into a little pillow. It turned out really well I think!

One thing I have learned along the way is the importance of outlining areas so colors do not run together. It has been a hard lesson and continues to be at times. There is nothing worse than turning your piece over only to see that it needs definition. I have to take a BIG deep breath.....(I think I need to reiterate the word BIG so you can understand the frustration) and start ripping out sections. Thank goodness Weaver's Cloth is pretty forgiving. It gives you a free pass a few times. 

Now I need to decide what my next breed will be. I am thinking some sort of "Doodle" because this breed has exploded across the U.S. Doodles everywhere! You can't deny though that these cuties are irresistible!
